Black Philanthropy Month Poster
The Black Philanthropy Month poster serves as a visual representation of the annual theme and aims to inspire giving, advance the ideals of our movement and ultimately shape 21st century philanthropy.
The BPM 2019 poster was illustrated by Tracy Murell, an Atlanta-based artist and curator. Her work is a celebration of the beauty that she sees in women of color by presenting them as figures personifying grace and strength. She explores the use of silhouettes by recontextualizing images from popular culture to use as entry points for deeper conversations on gender, race, and the perceptions of beauty.
