Hampton Roads Community Foundation Celebrates Black Philanthropy Month

NORFOLK, VA: The Hampton Roads Community Foundation will host a private reception, discussion on Black philanthropy in Hampton Roads, and book signing in conjunction with the Pop-Up Exhibition Opening of The Soul of Philanthropy. 

Panelists are L.D. Britt, MD, MPH, Chair of Eastern Virginia Medical School Department of Surgery and board member, Hampton Roads Community Foundation; Bishop Kim W. Brown, senior pastor of Mount Lebanon Baptist Church in Chesapeake; Valaida Fullwood, author of Giving Back: A Tribute to Generations of African American Philanthropists and co-creator of The Soul of Philanthropy exhibit; Ruth Jones Nichols, PhD, CEO of the Foodbank of Southeastern Virginia and the Eastern Shore; and Barbara Hamm Lee, host and executive producer of WHRO's Another View, who will moderate the panel discussion.
