BROOKLYN, NY: Celebrating Black Philanthropy Month with the Brooklyn Community Foundation

This year, the Brooklyn Community Foundation is making a concerted effort to engage emerging Black philanthropists, and they’re kicking off this effort in alignment with Black Philanthropy Month’s August 2019 theme “Let’s Make History” with an event on August 27th.

The Foundation will host an intimate panel discussion with some of their nonprofit grantees alongside local activists and community members to discuss the current state of Black affairs in Brooklyn. Together, they will identify issue areas that feel most critical to the Black community at this moment in time. Through this dialogue, the goal will be to position the Foundation as a resource and thought partner in manifesting change.

LOCATION: BARATARIA GALLERY, 880 Atlantic AveNUE, Brooklyn, NY 11238

This is a private event. RSVP with Damaris at DDias@BCFNY.org. https://www.brooklyncommunityfoundation.org.
